Breast Cancer Consultative Service

Second OpinionThere is more hope for women with breast cancer. Advances in treatment have led to increased survival rates. Research continues to make new discoveries. The latest advances in all methods of treatment are the foundation of the Breast Cancer Consultative Service.

We make a recommendation based on your individual needs, using an interdisciplinary approach. That means that all doctors and other team members work together to develop your treatment plan. This approach has been shown to be most effective in aggressively and successfully treating cancer.

In a single day, you'll meet with your entire team:
  • Medical oncologist
  • Surgical oncologist
  • Radiation oncologist
  • Other specialists
  • Breast specialist nurse
  • Social worker
Your team will meet with you and each other. They'll develop a joint, coordinated plan based on you, the person -- not just you, the person who has cancer. The team will explain your options and their team recommendation, all on the same day. You’ll get answers to all your questions. And before you begin treatment, you will know for sure that all the doctors agree: this is the plan that gives you the best chance.

Whether this is a first or second opinion, you will have peace of mind at this important time. For an appointment with the Breast Cancer Consultative Service, call 877-722-HOPE (4673) or 610-402-CARE.
